A Hug in a Mug
This drink is a tradition in our family when the colder weather comes in, when you’re feeling low or under the weather.
It was a big part of my ritual when I was going through chemo and a warm cup of milk with this Grandma’s Gold blend helped me relax, sleep soundly and probably helped internally with inflammation and healing.
PREP: 1 Minutes | Making Time: 5 Minutes
Makes 1 Cup
- 1 cup milk of your choice
- 1/2 tsp. Grandma’s Gold spice blend
- 1 tsp. honey or maple syrup
- Warm a cup of milk either stovetop for 2-3 minutes until bubbling, or in the microwave on high for a minute or two (your temperature preference)
- Add the spice blend, stir and simmer for another 1-2 minutes if doing this stovetop. Pour in a cup, add the sweetener of choice and enjoy hot or warm.
- If using the microwave, after it’s heated, add the spice blend and sweetener and stir.
- Enjoy at night for a calm moment or in the winter as an immunity booster.
